Greg Trieste will be joining us on November 13^th at Angelo’s Ristorante. He will share how to encourage all students to develop a love for mathematical thinking, especially students with learning differences, such as dyslexia, ADHD, autism or neurodiversity. We will greatly benefit from his expertise!

His work champions diverse learners, on the conviction that these differences are strengths, not deficits. He will guide us in discovering how small shifts like random grouping, visual thinking, and low-stakes problem-solving can be impactful and can reveal hidden effort and potential. Gregory knows firsthand what it means to struggle in the classroom, and that experience, first as a student and then as a teacher, drives his belief that success in STEM and beyond should never depend on how closely someone fits a conventional mold.

Gregory Trieste is a certified teacher in Illinois and Texas with classroom experience in public, private, and charter schools.  He stays closely connected to the classroom, traveling across the country to teach model lessons as a guest teacher, and will present at the upcoming NCTM Annual meeting. He is an educator and Senior Product Specialist at Amplify Education, where he specializes in science and math curriculum. At Amplify, he founded Limitless, an employee resource group for individuals with visible and invisible disabilities, cultivating spaces for belonging, awareness, and advocacy. 

Whether in the classroom or the corporate world, Gregory’s mission is to elevate every learner, colleague, and person by celebrating the full spectrum of how people think, work, and express themselves.

NOTE THIS IS A NEW LOCATION! Angelo’s Ristorante (https://angelosonyork.com/ ) is known for Italian culinary excellence and innovation. The charming atmosphere beckons good conversation. There is ample parking with a lot behind the building and public parking across the street that has multiple entrances. We can use the balcony adjacent to our dining area during the social hour!
